Ingredients

  • 1/4 kilo squid, with skin and ink sacs removed
  • 1 can pineapple tidbits, drained (reserve syrup)
  • 1 small ginger, sliced
  • 1 large (300 g) cucumber, unpeeled and sliced into half-moon shapes
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

Preparation

1. Simmer squid in pineapple syrup with 1 tsp. rock salt and ginger for 8 minutes. Drain and cut crosswise into 1/4″ pieces.

2. Combine squid with cucumber, bell pepper and pineapple tidbits.

3. Mix mayonnaise and lemon juice. Season with 1/2 tsp. fine salt and 1/4 ts. pepper. Add o the cucumber-pineapple mixture. Blend well.

4. You can add more toppings such lettuce, parsley leaves, carrots or tomatoes. Chill until ready to serve. Serves a total of six people.

Pineapple Chicken Combo

Hey, guys, I am back and ready to blog once again! I have been super busy with lots of real-life stuff, that I haven’t updated this blog with a new dinner recipe. Speaking of being busy, there are times when most of us just don’t have the time or the energy to cook up a really nice dinner for the family, even though we want to. Sometimes we find ourselves wondering, “What should I make for dinner?” We want something that is totally easy and quick to make. So guys, I have another easy dinner recipe for you. Today, it is all about chicken.  This recipe is called Pineapple Chicken Combo.

Ingredients

  • 35 grams chicken, cut up
  • 1 tbs.  cornstarch
  • 1/4 kilo carrot, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, cut into cubes
  • 2 tsp. grated fresh ginger
  •  1 can of fresh cut pineapple chunks
  • 2 stalks green onions, cut into 2″ strips
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch, dissolved in 1 tbsp. water

Preparation

1. Season chicken with 1 tbsp. soy sauce and /8 tsp. pepper. Sprinkle with cornstarch. Fry in oil until brown. Set aside

2. Saute onion, carrot, bell pepper and grated ginger. Add 1 cup water, 1/2 tsp. iodized salt (or 1/2 tbsp rock salt) and 1 tsp. sugar. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add chicken, then add the fresh cut pineapple chunks with syrup, s well as the dissolved cornstarch. Cook until thick. Then add green onions.

3. Place in a nice dish or bowl and serve hot. This recipe makes 6 servings. Enjoy!

Pork Chops In Herb-Mustard Butter

 

Once again it is almost 5 o’clock and I am stuck in the kitchen, trying to ask myself, “What should I make for dinner“? While browsing through the web, I found this really nice and easy dinner recipe from MyRecipes.com, and I’m sharing this recipe right here :) This recipe is called Pork Chops in Herb-Mustard Butter. It is super healthy and so easy to make, especially when you don’t have much time on your hands.

Ingredients

  • 4 (1/2-inch-thick) bone-in pork loin chops
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of pepper
  • 1/4 cup of softened butter
  • 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp of honey mustard
  • 1 tsp of fresh sage, chopped

Preparation

  1. Get the salt and pepper and sprinkle them evenly on the pork chops. Once this is done, place the chop on a wire rack in a broiler pan lined up with aluminum foil.
  2. Take the butter, parsley, honey mustard and fresh sage, and mix them all together in a bowl until all ingredients are well blended. After that, take 1 rounded tablespoon of your butter mixture and top this on a pork chop. Do this with the rest of the pork chops.
  3. For the next 10 minutes, broil the pork chops 5 inches from heat. You can also use a meat thermometer and insert this into the thickest portion of the chops, and you’ll know everything is done when your thermometer reads 155° :)
  4. Serve and Enjoy!

Chocolate Mousse Cups

 

After asking yourself, what should I make for dinner? , the next question that usually follows is, what should i make for dessert? Below is a super delicious dessert recipe that you and your family will absolutely love.

Ingredients

White Chocolate Mousse:

  • 8 oz. of white chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tbsp of butter, unsalted
  • 1 & 1/4 cups  of milk
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 3 tbsp of sugar
  • 2 tbsp of cornstarch
  • 2 tsp of gelatin powder, mixed in 3 tbsp of cold water
  • 1 cup of whip cream

Chocolate Cups:

  • 8-10 mini balloons
  • 4 oz chopped chocolate
  • 1 recipe White Chocolate Mousse, chilled
  • raspberries or nuts for garnish

Procedure:

White Chocolate Mousse:

1. Put the white chocolate and butter in a bowl, with a strainer on top of it.

2. Heat the milk in a pot to simmer.

3. In another bowl, mix the sugar, starch and egg yolks  together. Mix in the hot milk into the egg mixture slowly, whisk as you add. Pour them all back into the pot and continue whisking under low heat until mixture becomes thick and glossy.

4. After 5 minutes, add the gelatin through the strainer, and keep stirring until all the chocolate and butter have melted. Cool to room temperature.

5. Whip up the cream until it soft and fluffy , then fold this into your chocolate mixture. Chill it for around 80 minutes, enough to set, but still retaining its softness.

Chocolate Cups:

1. Inflate the mini balloons with air and tie them up. Gently wipe with damp cloth then dry. Prepare a baking tray lined up with parchment.

2. Place a metal bowl over a pot of simmering water. Melt the chocolate in the bowl. Once chocolate is melted, remove the bowl from heat.

3. Dip the balloons halfway into the chocolate on a angle, lifting and rotating as you dip again and again, which creates a tulip shape.

4. Gently shake off excess chocolate and place balloons onto the prepared tray. Chill them until the chocolate sets.

5. With a tiny pin, carefully pop the balloons and let air escape slowly. Remove balloons from cup and dispose.

6. Pipe and twirl the white chocolate mousse into the cups. Garnish the top with raspberries, crushed nuts, or chocolate shavings. Chill well, and you’re done!

Honeyed Fruit Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart fresh strawberries, washed, hulled and sliced
  • 1 fresh pineapple, cored and sliced into small chunks
  • 1 pint of blueberries, washed and cleaned
  • 2 large bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 pint of raspberries, washed and cleaned
  • 1/2 cup chopped cashew nuts (optional)

For Dressing:

1 can Crushed Pineapple

1/3 cup honey

2 tbsp. lemon juice

1/4 tsp. fine salt

Procedure:

1. Mix all ingredients for dressing thoroughly in a mixing bowl, then set aside.

2. Toss the pineapple, strawberries,and blueberries in a large fruit bowl. (You can add other types of fruits too). Pour about 3/4 of the syrup / dressing. Mix dressing with fruits. Blend well.

3. Add the banana slices and raspberries on top, arranging them if desired. (Do not mix as they easily get grounded). Pour the rest of the dressing on top. Cover and chill. If desired, garnish with coarsely chopped cashew nuts. And you’re done!

Pineapple Sweet & Sour Meatballs

Meatball Ingredients:

  • 1 Lb Ground Beef or Hamburger
  • 2 Tbsp Minced Onion (or onion powder)
  • 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic (or garlic powder)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Dry Bread Crumbs (you can also use 1/4 Cup Matzo Meal. Oatmeal or flour also works)

Pineapple Sweet and Sour Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar (You can also substitute this with maple syrup or honey)
  • 1 Can of Pineapple Tidbits with Juice
  • 1 Tbsp of Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp of Corn Starch
  • 1/3 Cup of Vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Diced Green Pepper

Procedure:

1. Mix together the following ingredients: Ground beef, garlic, onion, egg and bread crumbs (or Matzo Meal). Shape into meatballs of desired size. Set aside.

2. Pour all ingredients for the sauce into a saucepan minus the green pepper. Cook and stir continuously until boiling. Taste the mixture and add pineapple or sugar to adjust to your desired taste.

3. Turn down the heat, then drop in meatballs. Let it boil.

4. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes to 20 minutes. Stir the sauce occasionally until done. Top it off with green pepper, and then serve with rice. Enjoy!

Tuna Noodle Bake

Tuna Noodle Bake, or Tuna Macaroni Casserole is one of my favorite dinner recipes.  Below are several steps made simple and easy, in order to make this super delicious recipe.

Ingredients Needed:

  • 300 g Pasta Elbow Macaroni, or 8 Ounces Wide Egg Noodles
  • 6 Cloves Garlic, crushed
  • 1 Large Onion, sliced
  • 1 Can (170 g) Regular Tuna Chunks in Oil
  • 4 – 5 Tablespoons of Flour
  • 4 -5 Tablespoons of Butter or Margarine
  • 1 Cup coarsely grated Cheese
  • 3 Cups of Milk
  • 1 Can of drained and sliced Mushrooms
  • 1 Can of Green Peas
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Pepper
  • 1 Cup Buttered Bread Crumbs
  • Cauliflower, sliced (optional)

Procedure:

1. Pre-heat the oven at 350 degrees. Prepare a large casserole dish, lightly greased.

2. Cook elbow macaroni or wide egg noodles using package directions, then drain.

3.  While pasta / noodles are cooking, melt butter in a saucepan and saute’ garlic and onions until tender and brown. Add flour gradually until fully immersed in mixture. Slowly add the milk, stirring continuously until mixture is thick and creamy.

4. Add the Tuna chunks, grated cheese, mushrooms, green peas, cauliflower (optional), salt and pepper. Stir well then set aside your white tuna sauce.

5. In your casserole dish, pour half of the noodles and spread evenly in the dish. Top with half of the white tuna sauce. Pour the rest of the noodles into the dish, spread evenly, then top it with the remaining half of the creamy sauce. Sprinkle the top with your buttered bread crumbs.

6. Finally, place dish in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes.

7. Serve and enjoy!

Mushburger Rice Recipe


It’s been another hard day, and if you are thinking, “what should I make for dinner tonight”, we got a great idea for you! You don’t want to make anything that is difficult. Making dinner doesn’t have to be difficult. It doesn’t have to be expensive either. When you follow our new recipe for today, it will make making dinner a breeze.

This is a recipe for Mushburger Rice. It is served with rice and green beans. You can also have it with a salad.

Main Ingredients

  • 1 Pound of Ground Beef
  • Half of an Onion
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Worcester Shire Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • One Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • Three-Quarter Cup of Milk

Rice Recipe

  • 2 cups of rice
  • 4 cups of water
  • quarter teaspoon of salt

The first step to make this recipe is to dice up one half of a large onion and saute it in a pan with 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Also you want to dice up two small cloves of garlic.

Once the onions are translucent, you want to add in your ground beef and your Worcester Sauce. Using Worcester Shire Sauce gives your meal a unique flavor. Then add salt and pepper to the meat as it is starting to cook. Once the meat has browned, the next step is to add in one can of Cream of Mushroom soup and 3/4 cup of milk. Another optional ingredient is to add a quarter cup of sour cream or yogurt. Then, you want to simmer it for about 10 minutes.

This meal only takes about 20 minutes to make. If you get the rice started right at the beginning, your rice and mushburger sauce will be done about the same time.

I strongly recommend that you use a rice cooker because then you won’t have to pay much attention to the rice. Using a rice cooker will allow you to cook the rice perfectly every time. Most people use white rice, but if you’re going to use brown rice, you need to add an extra half cup of water. Brown rice also takes just a little longer to cook. The advantage of using brown rice to cook with is that it is a  bit more healthy.

If you want, you can also sprinkle it with cheese. It serves up great with green beans or corn. Another good idea is to make a green salad to go with it. This recipe serves four to six people.


Fourth of July Chicken Marinade BBQ!

  • apple cider vinegar
  • soy sauce
  • garlic
  • bay leaves
  • honey
  • chicken thighs

This economical dinner is for anyone living on a budget who wants to have a delicious chicken dinner. First, what you need to do is you need to make your marinade sauce. You’re going to do this by mixing together the first four ingredients. Then, you want to make sure to season your chicken with salt and pepper before placing it into the marinade. You’re going to want to use eight chicken thighs and carefully place the marinade on top of it. Now you can put it in a Ziploc bag for four hours and allow it to sit. Four hours will be enough time for the marinade to soak into the chicken thighs. Just put it into the refrigerator and let it marinate.

The next step is to make the sauce. If you think about it in advance, you can marinate it overnight. But four hours will be just fine. What you want to do is mix together the Apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and the honey. You want to simmer it until it is reduced by half. It will be thick enough to coat a spoon. You can make it big enough by allowing it to simmer on a low temperature for 30 minutes. Make sure you check it constantly so that you do not overheat it.

Ingredients for the Marinade:

  • 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 3 Tbp of Soy sauce,
  • 1/4 cup of Garlic
  • 2 crushed bay leaves

Ingredients for the Sauce:

  • 1 cup of apple cider vinegar
  • Two Tbps Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 of Honey

Additional Ingredients:

  • Eight Chicken Thighs
You can easily grill it outside, or you can grill the marinade indoors on a cast-iron grill pan. Usually grilling it indoors is faster than outside. Not only does the chicken give off an amazing aroma, but it also tastes great. Even if you have tried to do marinade in the past and they have worked, this method should work very well.

You can serve Fourth of July chicken with rice, homemade french fries, or a salad. It even goes great with watermelon! The great part about making Fourth of July chicken is that it is very inexpensive, and it is easy to share with your friends and neighbors!


Amazing Spaghetti Italiano

 Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey or mixture of both
  • 1 large onion
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic
  • olive oil
  • 1 T oregano
  • 1 T basil
  • 1 t rosemary
  • 1 t thyme
  • ½ t sage
  • ½ t cumin (1t if using ground turkey)
  • dash salt
  • dash pepper
  • 1c chicken or beef stock
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (28 oz)
  • 1 can tomato paste (6 oz)
  • 1 ½ t sugar (optional)
  • 2 lbs spaghetti noodles

Procedure:

Before starting the sauce, place a pot of water on to boil. It should be boiling by the time your meat is browning, so you can add your noodles then. The noodles are done when they are soft and will stick to the wall when thrown.

Chop onions and garlic and sauté on medium-high with a little olive oil. Add ground beef or turkey and spices, mix well and cook on medium-heat until meat is browned. Add tomato sauce, paste, diced tomatoes, and chicken stock. Mix well. Add sugar if desired and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Serve and Enjoy!
